Good news! Boise Book Fest & "The Watcher's Warning"
Ok, my last couple of posts have been about my health challenges, so I’m really excited to be sharing some good news related to my writing!
BOISE BOOK FEST
I’m thrilled to be attending Boise Book Fest this year! I’ll be up in the City of Trees on Saturday, June 15. If you’ll be in or near the Boise area, this is a great, family-friendly way to spend the day (kids under 13 get in for free!). In addition to the many fantastic authors across tons of genres selling and signing books, there will also be panels & workshops to attend!

THE WATCHER’S WARNING
One of my new short horror stories has found a home! From a Cat’s View Volume II will be publishing “The Watcher’s Warning,” my story about a cat named Ripley who can tell something is very, very wrong with her human’s new house.
I expect the anthology to be available sometime in the fall. In the meantime, if you love cats and stories where they have big roles to play, definitely check out the prior volume:

Also, the publisher is looking for line art to accompany the stories and appear on the cover. If you or someone you know likes to sketch cats, be sure to email email@example.com with an attached sample or link to your work.
And because its on my mind (it’s always on my mind), here’s a quick update about my epilepsy. I had an MRI last Friday and an EEG yesterday, both up at the University of Utah. I can’t say enough good things about the staff at the Clinical Neuroscience Institute and the EEG Lab. They were kind, compassionate, and patient when my anxiety decided it wanted to participate. I’m very glad the tests are behind me, and now I’m looking forward to meeting with my doctor in July to talk about next steps.
In the meantime, I’m writing up a storm, playing Avernum 2, and catching up on my reading list. I hope to have more good news about some short story submissions and a release date for the 2nd book in the Donn’s Hill series for you soon!
